Pro-EMA welcomes international volunteers — people from anywhere in the world who can offer time, skills, and presence to our work in Timor-Leste.
What we look for
Most of our volunteers fall into one of four categories:
- Instructors — culinary, hospitality, business, languages
- Mentors — experienced professionals who can coach our students one-on-one
- Skill-sharers — graphic design, marketing, web, photography, video
- Supporters — anyone willing to spend a few weeks helping with daily operations, fundraising events, or community work
What you can expect
Dili is a small city with a big heart. Most volunteers stay for one to three months. We help with logistics, accommodation guidance, and orientation to the community. The work itself is hands-on and immediately rewarding — you’ll see the impact of your contribution on real people, every day.
Who we are looking for
We want people who come for the right reasons. Not voluntourism. Not photo opportunities. We want people who respect the community, follow our staff’s lead, and treat the experience as a real professional commitment.
